Setting mp4 metadata programatically: Atomic Parsley

AtomicParsley (http://atomicparsley.sourceforge.net/) is a great command line utility for setting meta data in mp4 files. For example, you can use it in a batch file to set the album and title names of mp4 files, which is what an iPod looks at to display its information. This is nice if you have a thousand files and you want to update all the titles and album names in one shot.

If you get this error:
"An atom was detected that presents as larger than filesize."

Try using the -freefree to clear out your atoms.
See
./AtomicParsley --file-help | grep freefree
